  WHAT IS THE EXTENDED PRODUCER’S RESPONSIBILITY? Extended producer’s responsibility (EPR) uses monetary encouragement to encourage manufacturers to design ecological products by holding manufacturers responsible for the costs of managing their products at the end of life. EPR is based on the theory that manufacturers have the greatest authority over product design and marketing & have the greatest ability and responsibility to reduce venomous and waste. INSTRUCTIONS- According to EPR instructions for plastic packaging, Manufacturers, Importers, Brand-Owners, and Plastic Waste processors shall have to list through the centralized online EPR portal developed by the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).
