What is WPC (Wireless Planning and Coordination)   WPC stands for Wireless Planning & Coordination, is a wing of the Department of Telecommunications that comes under the Ministry of Communications of the Government of India. WPC provides an ETA (Equipment Type Approval) Certificate which is required for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth-enabled IT and Electronic Products. If a manufacturer/importer wants to import or sell a wireless (Wifi or Bluetooth-enabled product) in the Indian Market then they will need WPC/ETA certification.  There are 3 types of WPC certification: 1. Equipment Type Approval or WPC ETA Certificate: ETA (Equipment Type Approval) Certificate must be obtained by WPC if you want to import any wireless device that works on the unlicensed frequency band. This certification is also required to manufacture products like Bluetooth devices, mobile phones, Wi-Fi-enabled devices, and other related products.
